Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and safely transfer them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
- Document patient care activities, medical history, and changes in condition accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate closely with the nursing staff and physicians to implement and adjust patient care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment to prevent infection and ensure patient comfort.
- Offer emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Texas.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong understanding of infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods (up to 50 lbs).
- Previous experience in a hospital, assisted living, or home health setting is highly preferred.
