Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are comfortable and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to update them on patient status and needs.
- Assistance: Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning of patients to prevent falls and ensure safety.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR) as required.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient calls and assist in emergency situations as directed by nursing supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current Washington State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we welcome entry-level candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check and drug screen.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred but not required for new hires (training provided).
