Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and symptoms accurately.
- Prepare patients for examination, comfort and support them during the visit.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, and draw blood.
- Ensure the examination rooms are clean, stocked, and organized per health standards.
- Manage patient intake, registration, and insurance verification efficiently.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
