Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and patient families regarding patient status and needs.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Document patient care plans and progress notes in accordance with facility policies.
- Follow all infection control protocols and safety regulations strictly.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the state of Virginia (or willingness to obtain).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
