Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient medical records and care plans.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the wider healthcare team to develop holistic care strategies.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to individuals and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and coordinate necessary interventions.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Louisiana.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
