Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and fellow staff members.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current CNA Certification (or eligibility to obtain one) is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs with proper technique.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.
