Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and feeding times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (or enrollment in a state-approved CNA program).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred but not required for entry-level.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
