Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patients are clean, well-groomed, and their living spaces are safe, tidy, and free of hazards.
- Communication: Maintain clear and accurate records of patient care activities and communicate effectively with the healthcare team and family members.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, acting as a friendly face during their recovery or care.
- Assistance with Mobility: Help patients move safely, including transferring from beds to wheelchairs or walking with assistance, utilizing proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Current CNA license (or eligibility to obtain) is highly preferred.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We welcome entry-level candidates with a strong desire to learn.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients, and perform physical tasks required for patient care.
- Compassion: A genuine, caring, and patient demeanor towards individuals of all ages.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work well within a team setting.
