Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor patients' vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions and feeding requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, including changing linens and sanitizing surfaces.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
- Current CNA certification (or eligibility to obtain certification) in Arizona.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient-oriented attitude with a desire to help others.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
