Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Mobility Assistance: Safely assist patients with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient condition and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and personal spaces remain clean, tidy, and therapeutic.
- Medication Support: Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses and document administration accurately.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active CNA certification in the State of Texas.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
