Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care and assistance with daily living activities.
- Monitor vital signs, update patient records accurately, and communicate changes in condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and personal hygiene to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with healthcare safety standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medication and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse or Physician.
- Offer emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA or LPN license in the state of Florida.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient lifting and transfers.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred but not always required.
