Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring them safely between bed and wheelchair or using walkers and canes.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring special dietary requirements are met.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care activities, including intake and output, in electronic health records accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required, valid in the State of Florida.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to patient care.
