Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transferring them safely between bed and wheelchair or using walkers and canes.
  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring special dietary requirements are met.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Document patient care activities, including intake and output, in electronic health records accurately and timely.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required, valid in the State of Florida.
