Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens ensuring chain-of-custody compliance
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Provide compassionate patient education during procedures
- Utilize LIS systems for specimen tracking and documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams for efficient workflow
- Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Nevada Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques
- Experience with specimen processing protocols
- Excellent patient communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings
- BLS/CPR certification required
