Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper lifting techniques and mobility aids.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff to ensure a continuum of care.
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
- Document patient activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Valid Kansas State CNA License required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in long-term care, home health, or hospital settings is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.
