Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Support patients with bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility in a respectful and professional manner.
- Document Patient Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care plans in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Ensure Patient Safety: Implement safety measures to prevent falls and accidents within the facility.
- Communicate with Healthcare Team: Relay important changes in patient condition to nurses and physicians promptly.
- Prepare Medical Equipment: Set up and maintain necessary medical equipment for patient procedures.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License: Current and active state license required.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support certification must be up to date.
- Previous Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate Demeanor: Genuine passion for patient care and service.
