Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety and comfort.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions or concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility standards.
- Support patients and their families with emotional support and education regarding care plans.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA License in the State of Texas.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and possess a compassionate demeanor.
