Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assistance: Assist patients with mobility issues, transferring them safely to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team regarding patient status and changes in condition.
- Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, including changing linens and assisting with meals.
- Documentation: Accurately complete incident reports and patient care documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid Texas CNA Certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods; ability to assist patients with mobility.
