Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Provide personal care and comfort measures to ensure patient well-being during the night shift.
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and medications administered accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff and healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and efficient operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations following established protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active California CNA license required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification must be current and maintained.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (3rd shift) and weekends as needed.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as necessary.
