Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) accurately and report any abnormalities to the Charge Nurse.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent falls and pressure ulcers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure the patient environment is clean, safe, and sanitized at all times.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients to improve their well-being.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and multidisciplinary team regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida CNA License required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification must be maintained.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during the night shift.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients as needed.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
