Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transfers, and ambulation as directed by nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the Charge Nurse immediately.
- Administer medication as prescribed and document all treatments accurately.
- Support the nursing team with charting and documentation.
Qualifications
- Current State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Compassionate attitude and a commitment to patient safety.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
