We are currently seeking a highly motivated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Night Shift unit. As a Night Shift CNA, you will be the first point of contact for our residents during the evening hours. You will provide essential support, ensuring our patients feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for while their families rest. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent bedsores and ensure patient safety.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary plans and nutritional requirements.
- Communicate any changes in patient condition or concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Document all care provided accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA license (CNA 1 Certification).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team during night hours.
