Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the Nursing Supervisor immediately.
- Assistance with Mobility: Safely transfer and move residents using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to prevent injury.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Ensure residents are well-hydrated and fed according to their dietary plans and personal preferences.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, residents, and families to update them on patient conditions and care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Arizona CNA License required.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred, but we welcome enthusiastic new graduates.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced night shift environment.
- Reliability: Must have a consistent work history and be available for night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
