Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent injury.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR) promptly.
- Respond immediately to patient calls and emergency situations while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and families regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in the state of California.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or acute care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and patient safety standards.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods during the night shift.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained and current.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
