Responsibilities
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously assess patient vital signs and conditions, reporting any abnormalities immediately to the nursing supervisor or physician.
- Care Delivery: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring all safety protocols and documentation requirements are met.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about post-discharge care, medication management, and disease prevention strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, charts, and logs in compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing patients during critical situations.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted for entry-level candidates.
- Entry Level Status: Recent graduates or nurses with less than 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required at hire.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
