Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing comprehensive physical exams and obtaining medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to established protocols.
- Monitor patients' conditions continuously and intervene promptly if any changes occur.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, medication management, and health promotion.
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively, following hospital code protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, with strong preference for Critical Care or Med-Surg experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
