Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) during the night shift.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the RN or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer medications as directed and supervised by licensed nursing staff.
- Foster a compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Illinois CNA Certification (CNA 1).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients up to 250 lbs.
- Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
