Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse accurately.
- Assist with patient transfers using proper body mechanics to ensure safety for both the patient and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the charge nurse or physician.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient conditions.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic medical records (EMR) promptly.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in Tennessee.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a high standard of professionalism.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
