Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and using walking aids or wheelchairs safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients to ensure infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient care plans, progress notes, and any changes in condition accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the registered nurse or physician.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required (or willing to obtain training).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
- Reliable transportation and a willingness to work flexible hours.
