Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning of patients using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Serve meals and assist patients with feeding as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic computer proficiency is preferred.
- Willingness to obtain a Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification upon hiring.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
