Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Medication Assistance: Support the nursing team by reminding patients of scheduled medications and reporting any changes in patient condition.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and shift reports in compliance with facility policies.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and have a safe environment conducive to recovery.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active State of Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Nursing Assistant Certificate preferred.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods while performing job duties.
- Compassion: Strong empathy and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for patients.
