Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately record and report patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Support patients in transferring to and from beds, wheelchairs, or walkers safely.
- Maintain Patient Records: Keep accurate, up-to-date medical records and log daily care activities.
- Communicate Effectively: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the nursing staff to ensure seamless care.
- Assist with Hygiene: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and in a safe environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
