Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately and timely.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients using proper lifting techniques and assistive devices.
- Communicate patient needs and changes in condition to RNs and physicians promptly.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring special dietary requirements are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or state certification required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification must be active.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
