Your Role:
As a CNA on our weekend shift, you will play a vital role in the lives of our residents and patients. You will work closely with our nursing staff to ensure the highest standards of care and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, with dignity and respect.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with Mobility: Safely transfer patients between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations using proper body mechanics.
- Hydration & Nutrition: Monitor food and fluid intake, assist with meal preparation, and ensure proper hydration throughout the shift.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs in accordance with facility policies.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of New Mexico.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not always required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability: Dependable work history and the ability to work weekends as scheduled.
