Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of adaptive equipment
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support activities of daily living while respecting patient dignity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Current California CNA certification required
- Minimum 6 months recent CNA experience in acute care or long-term setting
- Flexibility to work weekends (Sat/Sun) with potential holiday rotations
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Passionate geriatric care experience preferred
- Reliable transportation to Oakland locations
