Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs, weight, and fluid intake/output as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Communication: Serve as a crucial link between residents, families, and the healthcare team, reporting changes in condition promptly.
- Housekeeping & Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for residents, ensuring infection control standards are met.
- Meal Assistance: Assist residents during meal times, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Documentation: Complete accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active California CNA license (or eligibility to obtain one).
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home health is preferred but not mandatory for high-potential candidates.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and assist with transfers safely.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
