Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Support patients with mobility issues, including transferring to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure patients are eating properly.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for patient care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
