Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patients' vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including care plans and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient needs.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents and patients.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA Certification (Virginia State License required).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with a positive attitude.
