Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance as needed.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Medication Administration: Support patients with medication reminders and administration under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Meal Preparation & Feeding: Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding patients according to dietary restrictions.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and engage patients in conversation and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
- Care Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care records and progress notes.
- Household Assistance: Light housekeeping duties related to patient care, such as laundry and changing linens.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and communicate effectively with the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA License: Must hold a current and active Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Colorado.
- Current BLS Certification: Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Previous Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or home health setting preferred.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate Nature: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable attendance record.
