Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide basic bedside care and support to patients under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient condition accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Assist with mobility and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
