Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, strictly adhering to safety protocols to prevent falls and injuries.
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation of patient conditions, changes in status, and care provided.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, families, and visitors.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Wisconsin.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health records (EHR) systems.
