Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate direct patient care to residents and clients in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any significant changes to the Registered Nurse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nursing staff, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff, following infection control protocols strictly.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations following established safety and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered State of Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred but not required for qualified candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the healthcare field.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
