Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
- Assist with daily activities including meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Transport clients to appointments and social engagements
- Monitor health status and report changes to care coordinator
- Administer medication reminders and track vital signs
- Engage clients in cognitive stimulation activities
- Maintain accurate care documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- Valid NY State HHA certification preferred
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual a plus)
