Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in health or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, games, and recreational activities to reduce loneliness.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and changing bed linens.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, and grocery shopping as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately document daily care logs and incident reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Required.
- Experience: Prior experience as a CNA, HHA, or PCA is preferred but not always required for the right candidates.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: Preferred, or willingness to obtain.
- Compassionate Nature: A genuine desire to help others and patience when working with the elderly or disabled.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
