Responsibilities
- Provide companionship through engaging conversations, activities, and outings
- Assist with daily living activities including meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Monitor clients' health status and report changes to care team
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social engagements
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate health records
- Implement personalized care plans developed by RN supervisors
- Ensure safe mobility and fall prevention protocols are followed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or relevant certification
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical care tasks
- Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Reliable transportation and punctual work ethic
- Background check clearance required
- Experience with dementia care preferred
