Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as per care plans
- Transport clients to medical appointments and community activities
- Engage clients in meaningful social interaction and light companionship
- Maintain accurate care documentation and communicate with families
- Implement safety protocols and emergency response procedures
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks and organization
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or equivalent training
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Patience and empathy when working with vulnerable populations
- Basic computer skills for documentation
