Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to ensure clients feel safe, secure, and valued.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client health, mood, or behavior to the registered nurse or supervisor.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on specific dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, or recreational activities using a personal vehicle.

Qualifications

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but not required for immediate consideration.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a genuine, empathetic personality.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as required.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
