Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to ensure clients feel safe, secure, and valued.
- Monitor and report any changes in client health, mood, or behavior to the registered nurse or supervisor.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on specific dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, or recreational activities using a personal vehicle.
Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but not required for immediate consideration.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a genuine, empathetic personality.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as required.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
