Responsibilities
- Provide personalized companionship and emotional support to elderly clients
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Monitor vital signs and document client health changes accurately
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings
- Manage medication schedules and remind clients of dosages
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe living environment
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or CNA certification
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Patience, empathy, and genuine passion for elder care
