Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a safe environment.
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversation to reduce feelings of loneliness.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor clients' health status for any changes.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, and community outings.
- Document daily care logs and communicate any changes in condition to the supervising care manager.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Current CNA or HHA certification is preferred but not strictly required for qualified applicants.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Strong empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
