Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgeries
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays
- Manage patient records using digital software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Administer anesthesia monitoring and infection control protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain treatment schedules
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Active New York State Dental Assistant certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a private practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Exceptional patient communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with practice management software
