Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for treatments and assist dentists during procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols and inventory management
- Perform chairside assistance during restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Manage patient scheduling and digital record systems
- Provide post-treatment instructions and follow-up care
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Current Maryland Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligibility
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a busy practice
- Proficiency with digital imaging (X-ray, intraoral cameras)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Experience with Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
